A Study of Revelation Day 10

Review Revelation 8:1-13

In this passage we see the Lamb opening the Seventh Seal bringing silence to heaven in preparation for the seven angels, their trumpets and the calamity of the first four angels on earth.

Through these verses it is revealed that God promises to one day judge all the world and all its inhabitants.  God will judge the sin of every person and His punishment is destruction.  John 14:6 tells us that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through him.

How will this knowledge make you reconsider the atoning work of Jesus on the cross for your sins?

Read Revelation 9:1-21

Describe what happens after the angel sounds the fifth trumpet (Rev 9:1-3)

What were the instructions to the locusts and who was spared from their torture and the agony they would inflict? (Rev 9:4-6)

What was the name given to the angel of the Abyss and what was the consequence of the sixth trumpet blast? (Rev 9:11-14)

Describe the destruction brought by the four angels? (Rev 9:15-19)

Read Revelation 9:20-21, Ephesians 2:2, Deuteronomy 31:29, 1 Corinthians 10:20, Psalm 115:4 and Daniel 5:23.
- How did those left untouched by God's wrath fail God and how do these additional passages reveal God's attitude towards sin?
