A Study of Revelation Day 25

Review Revelation 22

In this final Chapter of Revelation we see God's glory revealed through the grace he offers to all people through his son Jesus Christ. It describes the River of Life as it flows from the holy throne of God and Jesus bringing eternal light to all who are clothed in righteousness. Jesus tells us that he is coming soon to bring eternal blessing to all who are thirsty for the Water of Life and he warns us about the risk of changing these prophetic words given to us in the Bible. As the Alpha and the Omega, He is coming soon to shower his grace on all of God’s people.

Jesus wants to bless us and clothe us in His eternal righteousness and He offers the free gift of the Water of Life. Whoever is thirsty and wishes may partake in the reward that is in Him.

From these passages we learn that salvation rests on not only our desire to be saved and the desire of Jesus to be our savior, but also on the action we must take to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in our life. This is the only path to salvation.

Are you saved? Have you taken the steps necessary to be clothed in righteousness? What additional proof is holding you back from turning your desire into action… an action that will have eternal consequences in your life?

Verses 10 and 11 tell us that the time is near and to persevere in what we are doing. If you are truly already saved, in what ways are you persevering in the faith… the true faith found only in Jesus Christ?

Take this moment to make the commitment to rejoice every day in the Grace given us in the Lord Jesus who says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”

A Study of Revelation Day 24

Review Revelation 21

In this chapter in Revelation we see the creation of a new heaven and a new earth. Jerusalem, the Bride of Christ comes down from heaven and there is an end to tears, death, crying and pain. All that is evil is thrown into the Lake of Fire and all the souls whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life reside with God and Jesus in the magnificence of the new City of God’s creation.

The Alpha and the Omega… the beginning and the end. God offers all who are thirsty a free drink from the living water, Jesus Christ.

What are you experiencing in life right now that is bringing you tears, death, crying and pain?

What does God want you to do right now to rise up and overcome these experiences so that you will be able to inherit the new world He offers?

A Study of Revelation Day 23

Review Revelation 20

In this chapter in Revelation, an angel from heaven binds Satan and throws him into the Abyss starting the thousand year reign of Christ. The righteous dead for Christ are resurrected and rule with him until Satan comes back to war against God. As Satan and his army surround God’s people fire devours them and they are thrown into the Lake of Fire to be tormented forever. It is then that the dead are judged. All whose names are not in the Book of Life join Satan in the Lake of Fire for eternal torment.

God desires that we follow Jesus now and in the future. Those who know Christ will triumph over Satan in this life and even in our deaths.

All of mankind will be judged for what they have done… is your name written in the Book of Life? If it is, what difficult decisions do you need to make today to better follow Christ’s will for you in this life? If your name is not yet written in the Book of Life, will you take that next step to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour... it will change your life, your death and your eternal existence.

A Study of Revelation Day 22

Review Revelation 19

In this chapter of Revelation we see how Heaven rejoices because of God's power and judgement of Babylon while Jesus comes on his white horse to strike down the nations. As the Beast gathers his army for war, he is cast into the Lake of Fire with his false prophet.

Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. As the Wedding Lamb he blesses the righteous, those he invites to his supper and judges all the rest in a spirit of justice and truth.

Is Jesus the only King of Kings and Lord of Lords in your life? Where in your life are you being tempted by false prophets? In what aspects of your life is Jesus not King, Lord and Wedding Lamb?

Are you waiting for yet another invitation by Jesus to attend His wedding supper?

READ REVELATION 20

Find a reference in the new testament describing one of Christ’s followers who became a Martyr for Christ and who will one day reign with Him for a thousand years. Using the additional reading, describe some attributes of the rest of the dead who will one day be resurrected.

Read verses 7-10, Gen 3:1, Matt 4:1, Luke 4:2, Eph 2:2 and Jn 12:31. Describe Satan and his work in this world. What will be the eventual judgment on him as outlined in these verses in Revelation and in Mt 25:41, Mk 9:48 and Rev 21:8?

Describe who will judge all of mankind as revealed in this passage of Revelation and why there is a need to separate the righteous from the unrighteous during this time of judgment. A Study of Revelation Day 21

Review Revelation 18

In this chapter of Revelation, an angel of heaven announces the judgement of Babylon. It is clear that God will cause her permanent destruction because of her sin and because of the deception that she brought to the world. As she is destroyed, the world weeps but all those who are with God rejoice for God has judged her. No light will ever be found in her again.

God will judge the wicked... No matter what the cost to us personally, true believers should not be yoked with unbelievers because all unbelievers will one day face God's judgement.

In what areas of your life are you unequally yoked with unbelievers?

Where do you need to make the hard choices for God that may impact you financially, socially or in your personal relationships?

What is the source of the light that is found in you?

How can you be sure that you are clothed appropriately for this important event? Give at least one outside reference from the first four books of the New Testament describing the testimony of Jesus.

Read verses 11-16, Isa 13:3-5, 2 Thes 2:5-12 and Ezek 6:1-14. Who is the rider on the white horse? What major sins does he judge as listed in these readings? What is the purpose of the army of heaven that follows Him? Describe Jesus using words found only in Rev 19:11-16.
